Guitar Lessons for Curious Players
Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time or returning after years away, discover lessons that encourage curiosity, build understanding, and help you grow as a musician.
Build the skills and understanding to play with confidence at every stage of your journey.
Learn how chords, scales, rhythm, and technique fit together, not just what to play.
Grow into the kind of guitarist you want to be instead of following a one-size-fits-all path.
Decades of experience. Lessons built around you.
For nearly 30 years, I've helped students become better, more confident guitar players by meeting them where they are and giving them a clear path forward.
My experience as both a teacher and working musician means you'll learn practical skills that last long after the lesson ends.
"What sets Chris apart from any other instructor I’ve worked with is that he was the first person who really listened, listened again, and then listened some more. We work technique and conventional practice methods, but the main reason my playing has dramatically improved is because Chris's objective has always been to help me find myself in the instrument."
"Chris is an amazing guitar teacher! He’s taught my kids for over 11 years. Chris has been able to modify his teaching to fit each student from kindergartner to senior in high school. My younger son has also worked closely with Chris on composition. I can’t say enough good things!"
"As someone who has had multiple guitar teachers, I wish I found Chris at the beginning. Whether it’s theory, brushing up on basics, starting over on things from my youth, or just learning some of my favorite songs, Chris is accommodating and patient. My playing since taking lessons with Chris has greatly improved. I highly recommend grabbing a session and seeing where he can take your playing."
The students who thrive are the ones who ask questions, stay engaged, and enjoy discovering how music works.
Whether you're just beginning your journey or continuing one you've been on for years, a genuine desire to learn is the only prerequisite.

Yes, I work with students of all ages. For very young children who have never played before, it may not be the best fit unless they’re genuinely interested and ready to engage with learning guitar.
